Our Story

Get to Know Us

PowerCare is an initiative by three Fraunhofer institutes to bring next generation vertical gallium nitride semiconductor technologies and their behavior models close to application. As such, a first of its kind intelligent power module is to be developed that can surveillance its condition and the behavior of connected loads. By employing AI models that are evaluated directly within the power module, anomalies and thus future failures are predicted in real-time.
The project is funded by the Fraunhofer Society as part of the PREPARE program and started mid-2023 with an duration of 3 years.
